Paducah Bank Proud to Introduce “Changemakers” Community Spotlight Program with WPSD Local 6 and The Paducah Sun

Bi-weekly “Paducah Bank WOWmaker of the Week” to be featured on front page and on-air; $1,000 Changemaker of the Year award announced

Paducah Bank is proud to introduce a new community partnership with WPSD Local 6 and The Paducah Sun to launch Changemakers, a yearlong series designed to recognize individuals and groups making a positive impact across the region.

As part of the program, every other week one changemaker will be honored as Paducah Bank’s WOWmaker of the Week. Each WOWmaker will be highlighted with a front-page feature in The Paducah Sun and a spotlight segment on WPSD Local 6, sharing stories of service, leadership, and community-driven progress.

At the end of the year, one WOWmaker will be selected as Changemaker of the Year and will receive a $1,000 award.

Changemakers helps us elevate those stories, encourage others, and celebrate the good all around us.”

Changemakers is intentionally broad in who can be recognized. In addition to individuals, nominations may include schools, nonprofits, clubs, families, and businesses—any person or group creating positive change locally.

“Every community has people doing extraordinary things, and often they don’t seek recognition,” said Susan Guess, Chief Marketing Officer at Paducah Bank. “We want Changemakers to be a platform that celebrates those efforts and inspires more of them. If you know someone who deserves a spotlight, we hope you’ll nominate them.”

How to Nominate

Community members can submit nominations at wpsdlocal6.com or paducahsun.com by clicking on the contest app, selecting the Changemaker tab, and completing the nomination form. Nomination information will also be available at paducahbank.com.
