“When we help others enjoy prosperity, we are truly blessed.”
PADUCAH BANK HAS BEEN A LONG-TIME CONTRIBUTOR and supporter of the work of the local United Way. Many members of the Bank’s staff have given their time and effort to volunteer with this amazing agency, and this year Melanie McNeill of the Bank’s Trust Department served as a Campaign Co-Chair.
“I am very grateful to have been asked to serve as Co-Chair of the 2007 United Way Campaign,” Melanie said. “It has been a very humbling experience and I am proud to have served. I have truly enjoyed working with all the volunteers, agency directors and donors. The people of Paducah/McCracken County continue to demonstrate that they care about this community and want to help change the lives of our friends, neighbors, and co-workers.”
Paducah Bank’s part was significant! For the 11th straight year, Paducah Bank was honored for 100% participation by its banking staff. The Bank also walked away with the Bank of the Year trophy (WOW!), was the winner of the Largest Increase in Leadership Givers (WOW!) and captured the Largest Corporate Gift trophy as well (WOW!).
Speaking of the victory party, Wally Bateman commented, “All in all it was a great night for a truly wonderful and generous group of employees. I couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of our staff who, by their contributions and support of the United Way, made a difference in the lives of those in need in our community.”
The United Way raised a record $1,020,000 during this year’s fund-raising campaign.
“The 2007 campaign was a great success,” Melanie added. “The success was not because of the volunteers and donors, it was because of the people who are in need of assistance through the United Way. Their stories compel all of us to volunteer, to give and to care.”
