George B. Shaw

georgeGeorge Shaw has almost 30 years’ experience in retail and commercial banking. George holds a BS degree from Murray State University and began his career in banking at Peoples First National Bank in Paducah. He later served as a senior vice president at United of America in Chicago and vice president at United American Bank in Nashville, Tennessee.

From 1993 to 1999, George held the position of president and regional sales manager for Union Planters Bank of Kentucky. Most recently he served as a financial representative for J.J.B. Hilliard Lyons in Paducah.

George is currently the chairman of the Community Foundation of West Kentucky. He has ser ved previously on the board of directors of the Four Rivers Per forming Arts Center, the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Paducah Symphony Orchestra.

George and his wife, Liz, are members of Grace Episcopal Church. They have two sons.
