The 4-H Food Backpack program feeds more than 400 elementary through high school students every week in the Paducah City and McCracken County schools.  The group works with family resource centers to identify hungry children in the schools. Student volunteers work with the 4-H project to retrieve and assemble the non-perishable food items for final distribution to each of the city and county school’s hungry youth.

Thanks to the Paducah Bank Swipe and Serve program, you too can play an important part in helping to feed these hungry children. It's as easy as swiping your debit card. All you have to do is use your Paducah Bank personal debit card as a signature-based transaction, and Paducah Bank will make a financial contribution to the 4-H Food Backpack program for each swipe.

“Our second quarter 2016 Swipe and Serve recipient is the 4-H Food Backpack program,” said Susan Guess, senior vice president of marketing. “Paducah Bank employees will soon be volunteering their time and service to stuff backpacks with nutritious food for the school children in our community who would otherwise go without. We hope our customers will continue their good work from last year so we can provide another strong donation to this deserving organization.”

"Last year, our customers came through in a big way which allowed us to donate $7,850 to the 4-H program," said Mardie Herndon, Paducah Bank president. "I believe we can do even better this year! Just remember to use your Paducah Bank personal debit card as a signature-based transaction for everything you buy on a daily basis such as groceries, gas, etc. Together we can help end hunger in our community!"
