Paducah Bank Receives Kentucky Wellness Award

Paducah Bank has received the top platinum award for four consecutive years and won the prestigious Fleur de leis award in 2018.  Recognition is given at the platinum, gold, silver, and bronze levels.

The criteria for the recognition were based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Worksite Health ScoreCard. The CDC Worksite Health ScoreCard (HSC) is a validated tool designed to help employers assess the extent to which they have implemented evidence-based health promotion interventions in their worksites.

Paducah Bank has partnered with HealthWorks Medical, LLC to provide a comprehensive wellness program for employees. The plan includes health and wellness classes, an annual personal health assessment and a personal health coach, regular weight loss challenges, access to a registered dietician, free unlimited visits to primary and urgent care clinic, tobacco cessation and other wellness initiatives. Paducah Bank is a smoke-free facility that rewards employees for healthy choices by offering financial incentives through the bank's health insurance plan. They also provide an online wellness platform that is specifically designed for each participant. It provides in-depth wellness resources and a uniquely personalized wellness coaching tool that connects the employee with a wellness coach who promotes healthy living for each participant.

"At Paducah Bank, we believe our employees are our most valuable resource," said Paducah Bank President Mardie Herndon. "To that end, we have made a significant commitment to the health and wellbeing of each and every one of them.  Benjamin Franklin once said, 'An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,' and our employees clearly believe in the wisdom of those words. I'm proud of their enthusiasm and the outstanding results they have achieved by embracing this program!"
