Maurie McGarvey promoted to Chief Talent Officer

Maurie McGarvey has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Talent Officer by the Paducah Bank Board of Directors.

McGarvey, who recently celebrated her 26th year as a human resources professional and 38-year banking career, is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management and a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resources Certification Institute. She is also a Certified Professional Coach through The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and has completed Google’s Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute’s Engage Program.

She has been recognized as an Outstanding Leadership Paducah Alumni, Outstanding Woman of Achievement from the Paducah/River City Business & Professional Women, and Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Kentucky and the United Way of Paducah/McCracken County. She is also a Paul Harris Fellow through the Rotary Club of Paducah.

McGarvey's community service includes the Board of Directors of Paducah Cooperative Ministry, and past service on the Board of Directors of Leadership Kentucky, Rotary Club of Paducah, United Way of Paducah/McCracken County, Paducah Main Street, Paducah/McCracken County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Paducah/River City Business & Professional Women’s Organization, and the Market House Theatre. She also served on the Charter Commission for Merged City/County Government and the United Way’s Impact Poverty Task Force.

She graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School, earned her degree from Western Kentucky University, was graduated from the Kentucky Schools of Banking Bank Management School and Graduate Schools of Banking Human Resources Management School. In 2020, McGarvey earned her 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training Certification.
