Paducah Bank is partnering with Baptist Health Foundation Paducah this holiday season to help fund the Foundation’s provision of services and support to cancer patients.  The bank has donated more than $3000 from ornament sales since this Christmas partnership began three years ago.

Ornaments can be customized and added to a Christmas tree in honor or in memory of a loved one for a minimum donation of $5. The trees will be on display in the Lone Oak, Strawberry Hill, Mid-City, Reidland, and Main Office lobbies during December.

“Of course, we’re happy for the generous people in our community to donate more than $5,” said Mardie Herndon, Paducah Bank president. “Every dollar that is contributed to this most worthy cause this holiday will go toward support services for cancer patients in our community. Each of us, no doubt, has been touched by this frightening disease in some way either through friends or family. This is such an easy way to spread a little Christmas cheer while doing something enormously valuable to cancer patients all around our region.”

After five years of door-to-door campaigns, bake sales and car washes to bring a dream to fruition, Baptist Health Paducah opened in 1953 and has been rooted in philanthropy ever since. Baptist Health Foundation Paducah was established in 2009 and allows the hospital to extend its Christian heritage by enhancing the care provided for our community.  “For more than 60 years, we have been able to provide exceptional care in large part because of the generosity of our community,” said William A. Brown, President of Baptist Health Paducah. “Donations to our Foundation help us transform the lives of our friends and neighbors by improving their health. This holiday partnership with Paducah Bank is one more way in which we can all join together to provide much-needed health services to people in our community we are all proud to call home. We greatly value Paducah Bank’s commitment to our community and to this project to improve the care we are able to provide to Baptist Health cancer patients.”

The Baptist Health Foundation Paducah was established seven years ago and to date has raised more than $3.3 million to support patients and families. “These donations have allowed us to purchase neonatal equipment for our tiniest patients, enhance our cardiac rehabilitation center, expand our surgical waiting areas, and provide educational and support services for our cancer and stroke patients,” said Bill Brown, president of Baptist Health Paducah. “This holiday partnership with Paducah Bank is one more way in which we can all join together as corporate citizens and work to provide much-needed health services to people in our community. We greatly value Paducah Bank’s commitment to our community and to this project of charitable service to Baptist Health cancer patients.”

Paducah Bank has banking centers with lobby access at 555 Jefferson, 2401 Broadway, 4452 Reidland Road, 2635 Lone Oak Road, and 4575 Pecan Drive.
