Career Opportunity: Credit Services Specialist


General Summary/Purpose:

The Credit Services Specialist is responsible for working with the Assistant Risk and Physical Security Manager to ensure delinquent loans and non-performing assets are properly managed in order to minimize losses and identify credit risk within the bank’s loan portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

#1 Loan Collections                                                                                

  • Daily loan collection letters and phone calls to delinquent borrowers.
  • Document collection efforts.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Risk Officer on action plans for delinquent borrowers.
  • Visit borrowers at home or their employers.
  • Follow-up on NSF checks.
  • File bankruptcy claims and monitors the progression of the bank’s claim throughout the process.

 #2 Support Role                                                                                      

  • Backup for the Deposit Collection position in case of absence.
  • Assist Relationship Managers with connecting with Clients and retrieving documentation

#3 Special Projects and Training                                                           

  • Create special reports for the Assistant Risk Officer and Senior Management.
  • Staying up to date with collection regulations and tactics.
  • Assist with non-performing assets. 

#4 Charged Off Collections                                                                    
  • Reviewing and collecting charged off loan accounts.
  • Reviewing and collecting charged off DDA accounts.
