This position provides leadership for all aspects of the Residential Mortgage Department, including business development, employee development, and product development. The Residential Mortgage team is purposed with providing excellent client mortgage origination experiences for residential owner-occupied or investment property clients, building residential mortgage loan volume, and developing additional bank service opportunities to broaden the mortgage client relationship bank-wide.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
#1 Leads mortgage origination team to attract and develop opportunities to grow both in-house and secondary market loan volume and provide mining opportunities for further bank relationship development by involving teammates from other areas of the bank for the purpose of expanding the overall customer relationship.
#2 Leads the mortgage underwriting team to provide timely approval decisions for residential mortgage credit requests and to allow for an excellent customer experience, the meeting of required timelines for interest rate commitment, and quality compliance as required by internal auditors, regulators, and investors.
#3 Leads the mortgage processing team to provide for excellent support of mortgage originators and underwriters in meeting the team goals for customer experience, volume growth, service, and compliance.
#4 Leads the residential mortgage team in the development and maintenance of key related third party and community/industry relationships to provide for enhanced networking and business development opportunities intended to grow volume, service, and relationship expansion goals.
