The Accountant assists in and contributes to the operations of the Accounting and Finance Department. This position works under the direction of the Assistant Controller to maintain the bank’s general ledger and correspondent accounts. This position also performs the duties of the Assistant Controller in his/her absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
#1 Reconciliations and reporting of the general ledger. Assists in maintaining the general ledger through balancing and editing.
#2 Reconciliations of correspondent banks and official checks.
#3 Deposit reclassification and FR200 reporting.
#4 Miscellaneous responsibilities relative to CD account registry, quarterly FHLB collateral reports, repurchase agreements, and public fund pledging system.
