“We believe the future holds a great deal of promise in the hands of the next generation,” said Mardie Herndon, president of Paducah Bank. “So, we want to give them the opportunity to think about how we all will do business in the future. We want to consider how we utilize the technologies and social media forces at our disposal to be a creative and resourceful provider when it comes to the way our customers want to do their present and future banking.”
“Paducah Bank is instituting a Teen Media Team to tap into the knowledge and innovative approach young people are embracing in terms of social media and an online presence,” added Susan Guess, senior vice president of marketing at Paducah Bank. “We want to take advantage of the creative ideas and the enthusiasm that young people have for this ever-evolving media environment so that we can be visionary and innovative as we develop new banking services and strategies for all our customers,” Guess said.
Paducah Bank will select six high school students to serve through the end of the 2015-2016 school year. Students who are interested in joining the team should create a video explaining why they should be selected and what they can bring to the team along with one great social media idea. The deadline for submitting a video is October 27. Each of the six students will earn $500 for their contribution to the Social Media Team. Videos should be submitted by clicking on the contest link on the Paducah Bank Facebook page.
