Paducah Bank Shares, Inc. Elects Glenn Denton As New Director

Glenn Denton has been elected to the Paducah Bank Shares, Inc. Board of Directors, the parent company of The Paducah Bank and Trust Company.  He was elected and has served on the Bank’s Board since 2002. 

“The Directors of Paducah Bank Shares, Inc. are excited and pleased to have Glenn Denton join our Board of Directors,” said Board Chairman and Bank CEO Joe Framptom.  “Glenn has served for 12 years as a very effective Director of the Bank and will bring his expertise and experience to this Board as we plan for the long-term success of our locally-owned and community-oriented financial institution. Born, raised and engaged in a successful law career in Paducah, Glenn’s professional and practical understanding of our Bank gained from his years of service will be most beneficial as he becomes the youngest member of our Holding Company Board.”

Denton began his legal career with Denton & Keuler in July 1995. Graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School, Centre College, and Chase College of Law, he returned to Paducah to practice with the law firm that watched him grow up.  Denton represents individuals, small business owners, corporations, cities, and counties.  He is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court as well as federal and state courts throughout Kentucky and Illinois.  He frequently serves as local counsel to out-of-state attorneys practicing in the region. In 2005, he was awarded the Chase Alumni Association’s Outstanding Recent Alumnus award.

For four years, he taught real estate law as an adjunct professor at the West Kentucky Community and Tecnhical College. Denton is a past chairman of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce and Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Visitors Board. He also serves on the board for Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky, providing legal malpractice insurance to lawyers throughout Kentucky.  In 2008, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear appointed Glenn to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, which is responsible for coordinating higher education in the Commonwealth.  He was re-appointed to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education in 2012 and confirmed both times by the Kentucky General Assembly. Recently, Denton became a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.  IADC is an invitation-only professional association for corporate and insurance defense attorneys throughout the world.
