Paducah Bank's WOW Wagon retires

Paducah Bank's WOW Wagon retires Friday after 20 years on the road. Over those two decades, the bank has donated more than $250,000 of ice cream.

Chief Marketing Officer Susan Guess and Marketing Assistant Patrick Wadlington drove the truck to the McCracken County Jail to deliver 600 individual ice cream treats to inmates and jail personnel.

Guess, who has led the charge with the WOW Wagon for its entire tenure, said it makes her happy to visit the jail on National Good Neighbor Day.

"For nearly 75 years, Paducah has supported us and inspired us to set the example in creating a compassionate and inclusive community," said Guess. "We are committed to supporting every corner of our community and what an honor it is for us to be able to offer a bit of sunshine to some neighbors who will so appreciate such a simple gesture of kindness.

Guess, who will celebrate her 24th anniversary at the bank next week said the Wow Wagon has provided her with some of her favorite memories.

"Extending a smile and an ice cream has been the great connector," said Guess. "There has been alot of laughing and singing and that ice cream truck has introduced me to so many great Paducahans I would have never met otherwise."
